Who provides counseling services at Hope Resource Center?
Our consulting staff of volunteer Client Advocates knows your situation is unique and important. We are here to listen to your concerns and to provide you with accurate, up-to-date information to help you make an informed choice regarding your pregnancy or your sexual health. Every Client Advocate has completed extensive training and is equipped to serve you.

What medical services does Hope Resource Center provide?
Services available in our Knoxville clinic: pregnancy confirmation by urine test, limited first-trimester ultrasounds, sexually transmitted disease and infection (STD/STI) testing and treatment of some STD/STI’s. All of our services also include counseling with a volunteer Client Advocate.

Who provides the medical services at Hope Resource Center?
Hope Resource Center has professional, licensed nurse practitioners and registered nurses on staff to address you health concerns and provide medical services at our Painter Avenue and Loudon County locations.

Who will know about the results of my appointment?
Hope Resource Center respects your right to privacy. We believe that you are the one to decide with whom and when to discuss your pregnancy and STD results. No records will be released without a signed consent form from you. All communication is kept confidential to the extent allowed by law. Hope Resource Center is required by law to report cases of sexual/physical abuse of a minor and threats of harm to self or a third party.

What kind of support can I expect to receive if l choose to continue my pregnancy?
You will find caring, personal service from Client Advocates and class teachers who will work with you throughout your pregnancy. We will provide you with resources and referrals to other agencies or area programs based on your specific situation. You will also have the opportunity to enroll in Earn While You Learn, our parenting education program with material assistance.

How involved is Hope Resource Center in adoptions?
If providing for your baby through an adoption plan is your choice, we can connect you with an adoption agency or attorney in the Knoxville area who can assist you with the adoption process.

What kind of support can I expect to receive if I choose to terminate my pregnancy or if l have already had an abortion?
We are here to listen to your concerns and to support you unconditionally, whatever decision you make regarding your pregnancy. Abortion recovery counseling is also available at Hope Resource Center.

Does Hope Resource Center provide prenatal care?
Prenatal care is very important for your health and the health of your unborn child. We do not provide prenatal care but recommend that you follow up with an Obstetrician immediately. We can provide referrals to local prenatal care providers at your request.
